So far so good with mine. Heard of some problems with the batteries. Believe it was 2 so far.

Probably drill 2 dozen holes so far.

From what I hear keeping the batteries warm is key for optimum performance.

Used one of these yesterday. My gas auger was being "stubborn." A fellow angler out there saw and loaned me his ION. What a machine! If I had some extra cash in my pocket---I'd buy one now. Very impressed after punching 10 holes.

I was leary when these first came out due to some issues with other ION type rechareable tools not lasting as long or performing as well as I thoguht they should but I have heard nothing but praise. Definatley a great tool
