A group of 6 of us want to try sturgeon fishing with a guide, but only have the weekend to make the drive, fish, and come back. We are trying to find somewhere around 3 hours out of the metro or closer. Does anyone know of a place in MN?

Your best bet is Baudette, but that is a 6 hour drive. (it is a fun time if you are willing to make the drive) The St. Croix has sturgeon as well, but I am not familiar with it's patterns. Maybe someone at the store could offer you some guidance?

St Croix has great action when in season. Brian is a great resource....

I would hit the Croix. Close to the cities and great fishing.
