Who's pumped to chase some Walleyes?

I'm hoping to chase them along with a mix of Smallmouth this year.

Hope to see some good reports!

Good fishing,

Well my Walleye opener didn't go according to plan. Didn't spend a lot of time chasing them and the wind definitely hindered my desire to chase them. The lake we fished is incredibly clear. 8-10' of clarity typically means a night bite. I went out at 1:00 am and had a decent Walleye on a 1/2oz Owner jighead tipped with a Berkley Flat Back Shad. I lost the fish at the boat because I was trying to reach for the net and gave it some slack.

A major cold front also hit along with 30mph winds. Didn't hear of much coming from our lake. We did find some good Crappie action though...

Hope everyone di a bit better last weekend.

Good fishing,

Corey Bechtold

Had an awesome bite on Leech Saturday and then the gales of November came Sunday and Monday. Had a limit in the box by 8:00 Saturday morning. Most fish came on 3/8 OZ Fireball Jig's tipped with Shiners with some fish caught on Lind Rigs too.

We did ok the Monday after opener. Brought in 2 walleye and lost 8 of them. Well I have to say it was a great day because my 3 year old was doing all the reeling after I set the hook. We were using an odd ball jig with shiners.
